Does Casteism Still Exist in India: a Must Read Response by Haribabyu Thilakar


Many of us have started to believe that casteism or caste based system does not exist anymore at least in Urban India. It may exist in rural India; however, it must be diminishing with every passing day. Is this perception true?     We like to pretend casteism doesn't exist in India but we know very well that it does and in urban areas too! Educated people who should know better simply inculcate the prejudices of their ancestors and carry on as before.
