RIP by Mukul Deva – Book Review

I was fascinated right from the beginning when I came across RIP by Mukul Deva and read the synopsis. Thanks to Blogadda I got an opportunity to read the piece without shedding anything from my pocket. The book came in good shape with a distinct smell and an exciting cover collage. I am really pleased to write that the book did not disappoint me at all. It is a ripper indeed with intense gripping plot and you will be glued to it from the very first chapter.

Mukul Deva is a well-known crime thriller writer with best sellers and famous books like Lashkar, Salim Must Die, Blowback and Tanzeem. But unfortunately RIP is the first one I gone through and I think it will be a best seller as well.

RIP stands for Resurgent Indian Patriots formed by a group of 6 ex-special force officers. It is also known as K-team (as the name of all the 6 group members starts with K) and their objectives are to serve justice to the nation against present political scenario and corruption. The group is led by Colonel Krishna Athawale. They start by killing three corrupt politicians in a span of few minutes and follow it with a mail claiming the kills. They also warn about 3 more killing to be followed in the next 3 days. They also keep many demands in front of Indian Government for betterment of the country. As a consequence the corrupt political leaders call for a meeting and appointed a scamp commando Raghav Bhagat and his team to stop RIP. Off-course the police force is after RIP as well. The cat and mouse race begin. As usual RIP will win it through some luck and superior intelligence (some may find this idea quite cliche but the griping plot will keep your adrenalin going (it is a fiction after all and the good guy must win).

A parallel romantic plot also runs along the main story which is also very well portrayed is not interfering with the pace of the story in any way. I really loved the narration. Though it is a total work of fiction as stated by the author, there are some striking similarities of the book characters with real life and one can easily find out who the author is targeting. This may irritate some readers and could be avoided in the first place.

Overall I find RIP as a page turner for sure with intense action packed throughout the book. It has almost all the qualities of a descent crime thriller fiction. Every character of RIP has a notable existence. They are well described and handled with great care. This book is an excellent creation making me a fan of Deva’s work. I now have to go through all his creations as quickly as possible. I must congratulate the author for this exciting novel. So all the thriller lovers, go through RIP, it will not disappoint you.

  6. With havin so much content and articles do
you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright infringement?

My site has a lot of exclusive content I've either created myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my agreement. Do you know any techniques to help stop content from being ripped off? I'd definitely appreciate it.
